Anupama
Hey Guyzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…………………
Had got onsite opportunity to Poland from my company…It was for 3 weeks…. wanna share some of the cherishing moments with you all guys….
More than nervous…I was more excited as it was the very first time I flew across countries
Before I could reach the destination (Poland)…..got a chance to stay one day in Berlin… couldn't see much places over there, but roamed around the places near hotel.
Next Day i went to a place called Szczecin in Poland….to tell u… a very silent city….pin drop silence :-))
After one week I felt as though I have spent almost a month here…but unfortunately it was only a week….very tough for Indians to pass time here…if you don’t have office work…initially(first two to three days) I had only to set up system for the project, so there was not much work….
And about food ;-) struggled a lot to make them understand first of all what is vegetarian food in India….becoz as per their understanding..without beef is veg food……fish is veg food for them…
I used to eat bread and salad for Breakfast, burgers for lunch and MTR ready to eat for dinner.U know i would be so hungry, that i would eat two packs of MTR ready to eat. Good news is that I lost weight around 6kgs.........:-)
It was summer season in Poland…u know what time is the sun set…its at 10:00 PM and sun rise around 3:00AM…day is Long and night is short…but this did not stop me from sleeping full 10 hrs ;-)
I got almost two weekends, so went to Świnoujście(Baltic sea); it’s near Poland German border. Szczecin is a harbour city, we went to harbour.
The other week I went to zakopane (mountain ranges) and Krakowa (historic place).
I'll be sharing the snaps...
I never forgot to put bindhi …even in Poland, which made them raise their eyebrows… whenever they used see the bindhi on my forehead ….finally one of the employee asked me “why do you put this dot”? haha......:-)
I even tried some polish food. One was paerogi.its similar to kadbu with either strawberry or cheese stuffing.
Hey.. I also learnt few polish words!!!! And u know what…. working hour in Poland is from 9 to 5.....cool na......
As they study polish language in schools, many people don’t know English. For any communication, we would make all the effort to understand them. And it was very funny…literally we were dancing!! to make ourselves understand them. One thing I should not miss about them is…..”They are very friendly”.
I dint shop much; I got some jerkins, some souveneir and lots of chocolates.
This is all…………
Hope I dint bore u all ;-)
Wishes
